NJ’s Latest Pandemic Aid Allocations

New Jersey is spending millions of dollars on hospitals, affordable housing, schools and sewer and stormwater projects and paying for it using federal funding from a major pandemic relief initiative.
Federal money is also going to childcare services and maternal health.
The dozens of individual appropriations are detailed in Gov. Phil Murphy’s latest report to the Legislature’s Joint Budget Oversight Committee.

NJ SEED: New Jersey’s share of the nearly $2 trillion Biden Administration’s American Rescue Plan was more than $6.2billion and NJ like many states scrambled to allocate unspent funds before Dec. 31. After that date the federal government is entitled to a return of any uncommitted funds. The feds might challenge some of the last minute allocations.
