In an extraordinary move Wednesday (4/10), the federal government imposed strict new limits on “forever chemicals” in public water systems, a costly undertaking for local water utilities that many local officials say will ultimately fall on the backs of taxpayers.

NJ SEED: NJ has been on the cutting edge of efforts to address the ubiquitous PFAS – forever chemicals. The costs to meet EPA’s standard of near zero will make drinking water one of the most expensive beverages. However, combatting these ever present PFAS chemicals is an essential battle that needs to be undertaken.
