NY Governor Brings Back Congestion Pricing With Lower Toll

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday (11/14) announced the revival of the controversial congestion pricing program that would toll drivers who enter certain parts of Manhattan, starting as soon as January. 


The plan would require drivers to pay $9 to enter Manhattan below 60th Street during peak hours, a reduction from the original $15 proposed toll. New Jersey drivers may end up paying less when “crossing credits” are finalized.
