Raritan Bay Natural Gas Pipeline One Step Closer to Starting Construction

A natural gas pipeline that will run for 23 miles under Raritan Bay just got a key final approval this week:
On Wednesday (5/6), the Tidelands Resource Council (part of the NJ Department of Environmental Protection) granted the pipeline final approval for a utility license. The company needed to obtain this before construction could begin.

NJ SEED: Gov. Sherril is expected to sign off on this project that will transport natural gas from Pennsylvania across NJ, under the Raritan Bay into NYCity. This is a project that will have no discernable benefit to NJ. Opponents of the Raritan Bay pipeline will have their day in court.
