As communities grapple with decades of toxic pollution from “forever chemicals,” a group of governors are pushing for federal action on another widespread and unregulated contaminant: microplastics.

NJ SEED: Many studies are seeking affordable and effective ways to remove microplastics from our water. While it is important to address the newfound pollution problem, extremists who advocate the banning of all plastic products are unrealistic in this day and age. The need is established. What is now needed is funding studies to find the most effective means of removing microplastics from our water supply
