It's no secret that buying a home in New Jersey can cost quite a lot of money. A recent study shows just how much income you would need to purchase a median-priced home in the Garden State — and that this amount has increased by more than 50 percent in the last five years.

NJ SEED: NJ ranks number 8 on the list of most expensive states in which to live. An annual income in excess of $100,000 is required to purchase a mid-range NJ home priced at around $540,000.
