NJ SEED: The money euphemistically called “community project funding” or earmarks is otherwise known as pork and is commonly added to congressional appropriations. It is similar to NJ Budget items known as Christmas tree ornaments. No matter what it’s called, it represents money brought home to NJ by members of Congress to help fund mostly needed projects.
