ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — joint study by two federal government scientific agencies and the commercial fishing industry documents numerous impacts that offshore wind power projects have on fish and marine mammals, including noise, vibration, electromagnetic fields, and heat transfer that could alter the marine environment.
NJ SEED: The continuing appearance of dead and dying whales (a protected species) and dolphins on the Jersey shore is a result without determining a cause. The release of the report on 3/29 is likely to add fuel to the controversial issue.
