Push On to Redevelop Unused Government Properties

September 2, 2022 | njspotlightnews.org

The state Economic Development Authority is looking to jump-start the redevelopment of underutilized government buildings and other publicly owned properties.

Under a new pilot program launched by the Trenton-based authority, grants worth up to $50,000 are now being offered to help pay for things like feasibility studies, conceptual designs and market analyses.

NJ SEED: A pilot project with real promise to help revitalize for constructive use properties abandoned or underutilized by government entities, is a good idea and if it prove successful could become a permanent program within EDA.
