Negotiations with retailing giant Amazon to create a proposed 250,000-square-foot global air freight terminal at Newark Liberty Airport have ended, officials at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said Thursday.
NJ SEED: The collapse of negotiations for a plan that proposes to bring 1,000 jobs to the state is disappointing, but we don’t know the details that led to termination of talks. Local activists oppose the Amazon plan. Perhaps, after a pause, the plan might be reconsidered by both Amazon and the Port Authority.
