NJ SEED: With nearly a year and a half to go before the next gubernatorial the election, the field of prospective candidates in both parties continues to grow. Candidates, especially among the Democratic hopefuls, are sounding alarm over the state’s budget making process. Reform proposals ranging from the process to transparency are all worthy of consideration. Years ago the NJ Chamber of Commerce proposed a two-year budget cycle providing greater opportunity for through consideration of income and expenditures. Since Democrats currently control both the legislative and executive branches, it seems wise to pay attention to what potential candidates for governor are proposing.
