As House Inches its Way to GOP Majority, Dems Set to Lose Chairmanships

The likely but still not called shift to a Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives would that several New Jerseyans will lose key committee and subcommittee chairmanships.
NJ SEED: The much-predicted Republican mid-term Red Wave turned out to be barely a red ripple. Instead of losing control of the US Senate, the Democrats actually retained control, and depending on the outcome of the Georgia Special run-off on December 6, may not need the VP’s tie breaking vote. In the one NJ Congressional District that flipped from D to R, Democrats who managed the redistricting map virtually gave the 7th district to the Republicans, sacrificing 2-term incumbent Tom Malinowski.
