While statewide “passing” rates on standardized tests improved last spring compared with the previous year, an analysis of scores by schools show officials still have a lot of ground to make up in order to bring student achievement back to pre-pandemic levels.

NJ SEED: Educating our children is essential to the future well-being of our state. The forced and long-term closure of the state’s schools during the pandemic has caused lasting damage to a generation of our children. Efforts to make up for the loss in learning should become a high priority due to the long term effects the learning loss will have on our workforce and our future community, business and labor leaders.
