3 New Jersey Superfund Sites to Benefit From $1 Billion in Federal Funds

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Monday (2/23) $1 billion to clean up hazardous waste – including ongoing projects at three Superfund sites in New Jersey.
NJ SEED: Since 1980, EPA’s Superfund has invested billions upon billions of dollars cleaning up polluted industrial sites. NJ has been a home to industry since the nation’s founding and has a disproportionate number of seriously polluted sites. The infusion of Superfund dollars is essential to the ongoing efforts to clean up some of our nation’s worst hazardous waste sites.
