A-6013: “Motorbus and Passenger Rail Service Employee Violence Prevention Act.”

NJ SEED Supports A-6013: This bill will go long ways to protect motorbus and passenger rail service employees from the threat of violence.

S-2515: Establishes recycled content requirements for plastic containers, glass containers, paper carryout bags, reusable carryout bags made of plastic film, and plastic trash bags; prohibits sale of polystyrene loose fill packaging.

NJ SEED Opposes S-2515. The legislation places undue burdens on those producing consumer packaging product by requiring dependance on the availability of recycled material, added costs will be passed on to consumers already overburdened by inflation, all with no significant public benefit.

A-2208: Permits counties and municipalities to bond for passenger cars and station wagons solely fueled by electric or renewable power sources.

NJ SEED Supports A-2208: By helping counties and municipalities convert their vehicle fleet to electric and zero-emission vehicles, this bill increases investment in these vehicle manufacturers while improving the environment.

A-6115: Prohibits certain sewer and water utility service discontinuances; establishes Winter Sewer and Water Termination Program; requires BPU to include sewer and water public utilities in Winter Termination Program.

NJ SEED Supports S4070/A6153: This bill will help to streamline the process of getting critical infrastructure projects started, while continuing to hold those projects accountable to the necessary environmental assessments and impact statements.
